APT 2.0 Mobile App 'Version Check Error': CEPT Issues Step-by-Step Troubleshooting Guide for Post Offices

APT 2.0 Mobile App 'Version Check Error': CEPT Issues Troubleshooting Steps for Post Offices

The Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology (CEPT) has issued important troubleshooting instructions for post offices facing the "Version Check Error" while logging into the APT 2.0 Mobile Application. Offices experiencing this issue are advised to follow the prescribed steps before escalating the matter for technical support.

Step 1: Clear the App Cache

CEPT has advised users to clear only the application cache on their Android devices.

Steps to Clear Cache:

  • Open Settings on the mobile phone.
  • Navigate to Apps.
  • Select the APT 2.0 application.
  • Open Storage or Storage & Cache.
  • Tap Clear Cache.
  • Reopen the APT 2.0 application and try logging in again.

Important: Users should not select "Clear Data" or "Clear Storage", as doing so may remove the application's stored data.

Step 2: Contact the Local IPPB Branch

If the issue persists even after clearing the cache, the concerned office should coordinate with its local India Post Payments Bank (IPPB) Branch to verify and resolve the issue from their end, wherever applicable.

Step 3: Escalate Through APT 2.0 Ticket

If the problem remains unresolved after completing the above steps, offices should log a support ticket in APT 2.0 with the following details:

  • Office ID
  • Office Name
  • Screenshot of the error
  • Mobile handset make and model
  • Contact details

Follow the Recommended Process

CEPT has requested all concerned offices to complete the above troubleshooting steps before reporting the issue. This approach will help resolve common login problems quickly and ensure that technical support teams receive complete information for faster resolution of genuine cases.
