CEPT Nominates Four Officials for Advanced Cybersecurity Training Programme
Bengaluru, June 12: In a significant move towards strengthening cybersecurity capabilities within the Department of Posts, the Centre for Excellence in Postal Technology (CEPT), Bengaluru, has nominated four officials to participate in the prestigious Certified Information Security Professional (CISP) training programme scheduled to be held at the Postal Training Centre (PTC), Mysuru, from 15 June to 19 June 2026.
The nomination has been made in pursuance of the Directorate's approval for conducting the CISP programme through STQC. The training aims to equip postal officials with advanced knowledge and practical skills in information security, cyber risk management, data protection, and cybersecurity best practices essential for safeguarding critical digital infrastructure.
The four officials deputed by CEPT represent key technology and operational domains of the Department. The selected participants include officials from the Database Team, Infrastructure and DevOps Team, and Omnichannel & CRM Integration teams, reflecting the Department's emphasis on building cybersecurity expertise across multiple technical verticals.
The officers have been directed to report at PTC Mysuru at 9:00 AM on 15 June 2026 for the commencement of the intensive five-day training programme. During the course, participants will receive specialized exposure to information security frameworks, incident response mechanisms, cybersecurity governance, and secure digital practices relevant to the evolving technological landscape of the Department of Posts.
