India Post Promotes Officers to IPoS Group ‘A’ Junior Time Scale – Full Posting List Released

The Department of Posts, Ministry of Communications, Government of India, has issued an important office order regarding the promotion of officers to the Junior Time Scale (JTS) of the Indian Postal Service (IPoS), Group ‘A’. Promotion to Junior Time Scale (JTS) of IPoS Group ‘A’

As per the office order, the President of India has approved the promotion of several officers to the Junior Time Scale (JTS) of Indian Postal Service, Group ‘A’ on a regular basis in Level-10 of the Pay Matrix.

The promotions are made under the provisions of the Indian Postal Service (Group A Posts) Recruitment Rules, 2017. Officers will receive the benefits from the date they assume charge of the promoted post.

1. Promotion Has Prospective Effect

The promotions will have only prospective effect, even if vacancies belong to earlier years.

2. Ad-hoc Service Will Not Count

Service rendered on ad-hoc basis will not count for seniority or future promotion eligibility.

3. Pay Fixation Option

Promoted officers can exercise the option for pay fixation under FR-22 within one month from the date of assuming charge.

4. Immediate Relieving Instructions

All officers are directed to join their promoted posts without delay and submit charge reports to the Directorate.

5. Promotion Deemed Declined After One Month

If an officer does not join within one month from the date of issue of the order, it will be presumed that the officer has declined the promotion.
