The MPOP Project, launched in collaboration with M/s McKinsey & Company India LLP in November 2024, has already prepared a comprehensive business and marketing strategy for India Post. The strategy focuses on tapping new opportunities in the express document, parcel, and e-commerce segments. In addition, the project is optimizing key processes across First Mile, Middle Mile, and Last Mile operations, as well as processing hubs and transmission networks. Organizational restructuring for document and parcel divisions is also underway.

Pilot Initiatives Under MPOP

Several pilot initiatives are already being tested in metro cities, including the Day Definite Delivery (DDD) and Next Day Delivery (NDD) products. The ‘Put To Light System’ for parcel processing is being piloted at the Vijayawada Parcel Hub. Other pilots aim to test redesigned processes, layouts, and equipment in selected processing and delivery hubs.

Change Management Workshop Details

The upcoming workshop will focus on change management for the seven pilot circles where these redesigned processes and technologies are being tested. Scheduled from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, the workshop will bring together Chief Postmasters General (CPMsG), Postmasters General (PMsG), Directors, Additional PMsG, and Divisional Heads of Postal and RMS Divisions from Andhra Pradesh, Delhi, Karnataka, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Telangana, and West Bengal.

The insights and ideas generated during the workshop will help shape the roadmap for pilot rollouts, including defining key initiatives, timelines, ownership responsibilities, and the role of departmental leadership.

Further details regarding the venue and a comprehensive agenda will be shared in the coming days.
