To, The Secretary Department of Posts Dak Bhawan, New Delhi — 110001
It is submitted that the staff of department of Posts are working with 48 hours in a week where as all other central government employees are working with less hours i.e. 40 hours with five days week. Our staff also operates more than 10 software on one or two computer at a time which also adversely affect the health of the staff.
It is also mentioned that the Department is doing the business of POSB and Insurance where as those sector are doing same type of business are providing 2nd and 4th Saturday to their staff. it is also worth mentioning that the staff of IPPB already avail five (5) days week. IPPB is the PSU of the Department.
In this context, the union propose to declare atleast 2nd and 4th Saturday off for the delivering of better and effective functioning by the staff and Union also proposed to open post offices 24X7 days to provide effective postal services to the public without any break and to earn maximum revenue to meet out the deficit of the department.
With regards, Yours sincerely,
(Naresh Gupta)
General Secretary
