With reference to your RTI application cited above, the requested information is furnished below,

Who is competent n the Department of Post to change the timing/working hours of a Post office	The working hours of the Post office are generally fixed by the Head of the Circle according to the timings given in clause 5 of the Post Office Guide.   The Director-General may extend the working hours of any Post office up to 8:30 P.M. and keep them open on Sundays also. (As per clause 3 of PO Guide Part-1)
Total duty hours of a Postal employee in a day in a Post office	The total duty hours of Postal Employee Ina day in a Post office is 8 hours less 1/2 hour lunch break.
