Subject: Postal Officers Association request for change of nomenclature from Dy SP to Dy SSPOs and delegation of financial powers-reg.

Kindly refer to letter No. Chq/8/2023-2025 dated 10.07.2023 attached herewith regarding Postal Officers Association request for change of nomenclature from Dy SP to Dy SSPOs and delegation of financial powers.

2. Vide Establishment Division letter No. 25-36/2017-PE-I (vol III) dated 29.03.2023, 225 posts of ASP/ ASRM were upgraded to PS Group ‘B' Cadre as Dy. SP, Dy. SRM, In charge PH/NSH/BNPL/BPC/CRC, In charge CPC. Now, Postal Officers Association requested for change of nomenclature of these posts as following: -

3. It has further been requested by the association that some financial powers be provided to these upgrade/ newly created posts of Group ‘B' Officers as well.

4. In this regard it is requested to please provide your comments on the said proposal. Also, it is requested to submit the roles and responsibilities of these posts.
