This is regarding implementation of revised GDS online engagement process

2. I would like to invite your personal attention on notification of GDS vacancies through revised GDS online engagement process. Revised GDS online engagement process is to be implemented from January-2022 by notifying vacancies in 4th week of January-2022. Second round of GDS engagement process will be initiated by notifying vacancies in the last week of July -2022 twice a year. 

3. In this context, kindly find enclosed model notifications for engagement of all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks approved by the Competent Authority. 

4. All the HOCs are requested to ensure completion of the following tasks:- 

(i) Calculations and notification of all GDS vacancies at Division level.

(ii) The notification will be issued simultaneously by all the Divisions in the 4th week of January every year by taking the anticipated vacancies till 31st March of the year in which notification is being issued. Next schedule of engagement to notify vacancies will be started with issue of the notification of vacancies in the last week of July by taking anticipated vacancies up to 30th September of the year in which notification is being issued.

(iii) Circles must process pending requests for Limited Transfer before notification of vacancies (as on 31st December for Jan notification and as on 30th June for July notification). 

(iv) Circles must ensure configuration of correct recognized Educational Boards before notifications of vacancies. 

(v) Circles must complete/finalize conducting of CCE and review of Compassionate cases by conducting special CCE before notifications of vacancies. 

(vi) Vacancies must be uploaded by Divisions on schedule in consultation with CEPT well in time as per revised model notification, so that schedule is adhered to. 

(vii) Vacancies already notified/in pipeline under Cycle 2nd and Cycle 3rd of GDS online engagement process shall be continued until completion of one year from declaration of result or until exhaustion of panel of 5 candidates. In case, panel of 5 candidates is exhausted or one year of declaration of result is completed, these vacancies must be taken in calculation for notification. 

(ix) All HOCs may ensure that engaging units are strictly following approved draft notifications to notify GDS vacancies through revised GDS online engagement process. 

(x) A certificate by DPS (HQ) for completion of above preparatory works along with total Division wise vacancies to be notified may be furnished to this Directorate by 1st week of January and 1st week of July without fail. 

(viii) Circles shall calculate Division wise vacancies well in advance and will intimate to this Directorate by 1st week of January for January notification and 1st week of July for July notification. 

(xi) Workshops will be conducted by Nodal Officer and AD/APMG, Dy. Nodal Officers for RO/Divisions by 20th January, 2022

(xii) HOCs may issue immediately. suitable instructions to all concerned 

(ii) Revised approved model notification may be configured in GDS online engagement software immediately. CEPT also ensure to notify GDS vacancies in revised GDS online engagement process as per revised and approved model notification. 

(iii) Detailed SOP on revised GDS online engagement process will be circulated by CEPT immediately. 

(iv) Step may be taken to avoid confusion among engaging units, on acceptable subjects and marks obtained therein, calculation of marks for merit etc. 

(v) Preparation of detailed FAQ- separately for engaging units and candidates. 

(vi) steps may be taken for verification of educational qualification through Digilocker. 

(vii) Workshops may be conducted for DPS (HQ, Nodal Officer and AD/APMG, Dy. Nodal Officers of all Circles through by 10th January, 2022. 

(viii) A compliance report may be sent to this office by 12th January, 2022 Positively. This approved model notification may be treated as final

6.CGM,CEPT Bengaluru and GM Operations, CEPT Mysuru must ensure to complete the following works: - 

(i) Modification in online engagement software to incorporate the all the modifications as approved.

7. A consolidated list of local language identified by the Department as per official language declared by the state/UTs concerned is annexed as Annexure. B
